Reversible table runner made of khadi cotton, with images of tree leaves silkscreen printed in black on an off-white ground.

Tilla’s designer, Aratrik Dev Varman, developed the prints for the 7 Indian Trees collection from photographs taken on his travels across India.

In the case of the table runners the leaves depicted are those of the neem, peepal and gulmohar trees.

The neem tree or margosa (Azadirachta indica) is widely used in Ayurveda for its medicinal and antiseptic properties.

The peepal or sacred fig (Ficus religiosa) is the tree under which Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment.

The bright flowers of the gulmohar or flamboyant tree (Delonix regia) herald the arrival of the fiery summer heat, while its dense foliage offers a welcome shady shelter.

Also available in this range are serviettes, cushions, throws, the Peasant Tunic, the Rabari Jacket, silk scarves and cards.

All the runners are different as they are cut from a larger piece of fabric. In some cases, different prints have been used on the front and back.
